February 8, 2025

Super Saturday at The Reserve Spanos Park

The second event of the year proved to be a difficult one with the leader board seeing big changes, after a win for Alec DaVila with a round of 82. The conditions could not have been better with the sun out all day but the wind proved to the difficult for everyone with wind gusts up to 25mph at times. Reigning champion Ned Norris shot a 94 to finish tied for last along with last months runner up Mario Alejandro and Santiago Alejandro also shooting a 94. Zach Leon made the biggest jump from 5th to 1st and finishing the day in spectacular form parring his last 5 holes to finish at 86.
Will Alejandro enjoyed a good round to finish at 87 and looks to be found his ball striking at just the right time. Dan Earl Batteate continues to impress on tour with another solid round from him at 90. Vince Batteate finished with a 93 in which he will be disappointed to not finish higher to go along with his strong first outing. The race for the top is a tight one with 3 points separating the leader from 7th place so far this year. We saw some tremendous skill on display today with Will Alejandro sinking a 30’ putt to par hole 6. As always the young players on tour continue to impress with the long ball off the tee. Alec, Dan, Zach and Santiago have impressed so far on tour with an average of 260 on drives.

The February 14, 2025 2
veterans are making up the difference with the short game. The chipping displays by Vince, Ned and Will have seen some amazing up and downs. Will Alejandro won the first CTP this year on hole 8 with 45’ beating out Ned Norris by 1”. Alec DaVila won the second CTP off the day on 15 with 38’. March will bring some changes again with a team format along with individual play. Eagle Vines in Napa, will look to be favorable for the long ball hitters but we’ll be sure to see if one of the veterans is able to come up with a win to shake up the standing once again. The teams will be based on handicap and will be Zack & Dan, Ned & Santiago, Mario & Alec and Vince & Will. The combined scores will decide the winner but individual scores will reflect overall standings for the Tour. This will make for an interesting team match play as some of will be pairing up for the first time ever. Again, you’re encouraged to invite players out and we will have 8 spots available for newcomers. We be look forward to another competitive event and as always lets have fun, enjoy the day and our time out on the course. Thanks again to Will Alejandro for providing funds for food and drinks this past event.

Earnings:
Alec Davila $215
Ned Norris $ 175
Will Alejandro $40
